The Liverpool Nepalese Community held a wonderful event on Sunday, 24 November, at Wavertree Cricket Club. A large number of people came from the community to raise money for So the Child May Live and our work with World Child Cancer to improve the treatment of children with cancer in Nepal.
There was music, singing and dancing by members of the community, including the children, and a lovely buffet of Nepalese food. Sian Falder, one of our Trustees and the Plastic Surgery Consultant at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, spoke. Sian has been to Nepal many times and she told everyone about her experiences there and how we have been able to help the medical staff at the Kanti develop their skills.
A great time was had by all, as well as knowing they were raising money to help save the lives of children in one of the world’s poorest countries
