Over 80 people crammed into the hall for our Quiz Night, one of the best attended events we have held. Our regular Quiz Master, Frank Duff, was in great form as usual, and a very enjoyable time was had by all.
There were a huge number of gifts available in the raffle, and this year we had two new offers on the table. A mother whose son is being treated in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for cancer, had generously offered a week’s free holiday in a static caravan in the Lake District, and Liverpool Football Club had donated a T-shirt signed by the players.
As usual, the food was delicious and plentiful and, as one of the guests said, “I always love coming to these Quiz Nights. Even if you can’t answer the questions, the whole atmosphere is great and you know that, by being there you are helping to save children’s lives. What’s not to enjoy?”
